Illinois Town Shook By Fatal Crash

An Illinois town is recovering after a fatal car accident occurred in the northeast area of the city. Reports seem to lean toward alcohol, coupled with weak decision making, as a culprit behind the unfortunate ordeal. During a routine DUI round one evening, a driver who was pulled over decided to leave the scene. It was then that police returned to their car and started following the driver, who was said to be speeding.

Father and son killed in Illinois truck accident

A pickup truck hit a sedan at the intersection of Ball and Farmersville Roads in Carlinville, killing a father and son. The driver of the pickup apparently failed to stop at the intersection, causing the collision. The father and son were traveling west on Farmersville in a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. The Sebring was struck on the passenger side by a 2004 Ford F-250. The truck was driven by a 23-year-old man and was occupied by two other passengers. All three occupants of the Ford were treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The man and his son were both pronounced dead at the scene. The Macoupin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the car accident.

Illinois driver kills woman, makes partial plea deal

A young Illinois woman will soon accept a prison sentence for causing an automobile accident that killed one person and injured others. Assessments proved that the 23-year-old driver was under the influence of both bath salts and marijuana at the time of the incident, which led to her being charged with aggravated driving under the influence (DUI).
